Allan Weiss is an
attorney with a broad background in litigation, including a wide variety
of general business, commercial litigation, and tort litigation. Allan's
experience in the area of tort litigation includes professional liability,
medical malpractice, hospital liability, products and premises liability,
automobile liability, insurance policy disputes, and workers'
compensation.
His experience in mediation includes a broad range of negligence cases,
professional liability, business and commercial disputes, and family
matters.
Allan is a graduate of the University of Louisville, Brandeis School of
Law, where he served as Secretary for the Journal of Family Law. He has
received training as a mediator with the Duke University Private
Adjudication Center, Western Kentucky University, and NASD Securities
Arbitration Training. Allan is certified as an arbitrator and mediator by
NASD Regulation Inc. and National Arbitration Forum.
Allan is active in the Louisville community in many capacities. He was a
member of the Leadership of Louisville Class of 1989, chosen as a Bingham
Fellow in 1997, and served as a board member for the Community Health
Charities, American Diabetes Association Kentucky Affiliate, Bingham Child
Guidance Clinic from 1979 to 1990, Louisville School of Autistic Children
from 1973 to 1982, and the Commission for Human Relations for the City of
Louisville from 1962 to 1964. Allan has also served as Director and
Contributing Editor of Beaux Arts Magazine.
